Rinse under water before first use. It will feel stiff. That’s the cellulose. Once wet, it softens immediately.

DAILY USE

• Use damp for countertops, dishes, spills, stovetops, and appliances.

• Rinse after use, wring out, and lay flat or hang to dry.

• Don’t leave it balled up. Quick drying is what keeps it fresh.

CLEANING

• Machine wash with regular laundry. No fabric softener.

• Or place on the top rack of your dishwasher.

• Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry. Heat breaks down the fibers and causes shrinking.

WHEN TO REPLACE

When the cloth starts to thin or lose absorption. Typically 2-3 months of regular use.

WHAT IT’S MADE OF 

70% Cellulose (wood pulp) Provides the absorption and quick-drying structure. Cellulose dries fast, so odor doesn’t develop between uses. This is the same reason sponges smell and dishcloths don’t: sponges stay wet, cellulose doesn’t. 

30% Cotton Adds softness and flexibility. Without it, the cloth would be stiff even when wet.

WHAT’S NOT IN IT

No synthetic fibers No polyester, no nylon, no plastic blends. The cloth is 100% plant-based, so no microplastics shed during use or at end of life.

No added treatments. The prints use OEKO-TEX certified water-based inks. The odor resistance comes from how fast the material dries, not a chemical additive.

END OF LIFE

When a cloth wears out, toss it in your home compost. The cellulose and cotton break down completely in 6-8 weeks. Within a landfill, the cloth breaks down in 10-12 weeks.

DURING USE

No microplastics shed during use or breakdown. The cloth is 100% plant based fiber, so nothing synthetic enters the water when you rinse or wash it.
