Rinse the cloth under water before first use. It will feel stiff, that's the cellulose. Once wet, it softens immediately and becomes fully absorbent. Wring out excess liquid.

Use damp for countertops, dishes, spills, stovetops, and appliances. Rinse out soils, wring out water, and lay flat or hang to dry between uses. Quick drying is what keeps the cloth fresh, so don't leave it balled up.

To clean: machine wash with your regular laundry (no fabric softener), or place on the top rack of your dishwasher. Air dry flat.
Do not tumble dry. Heat from the dryer breaks down fibers and can cause shrinking or permanent stiffness.

Replace when the cloth starts to thin or lose absorption, typically after 2-3 months of regular use.

At end of life, the cloth composts in home compost in 6-8 weeks or breaks down in a landfill in around 10 weeks. No microplastics shed during use or breakdown.
